West Sacramento Little League was founded in 1953 and first chartered by Little League International in 1954. We are a co-ed league and welcome boys and girls. Serving all children in West Sacramento and the community of Clarksburg.
With the health and safety of our families in mind, WSLL has determined that effective immediately our organization will be suspending all activities, including but not limited to league games, scrimmages, and practices, through April 30, 2020.
Please know that we will continue to remain in close contact with our governing organizations and our local public health departments and we will be reassessing this stance toward the end of April. Should anything change before then, we will relay those updates as they become available. We fully intend to resume the WSLL season after April 30, 2020.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued support.
Dear West Sacramento Little League community,
We understand concerns about COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) are top of mind right now. In accordance with new guidance from the California Department of Public Health, out of an abundance of caution, and in order to help protect the health of our community we have decided to cancel our opening day ceremonies scheduled for this Saturday, March 14th. This decision was made in consultation with our board leadership, Little League District 6, and the City of West Sacramento.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time, as this decision did not come easy. Regularly scheduled games and practices will move forward as planned and additional hand washing stations will be provided at Memorial Park and Alyce Norman playfields. We encourage you to follow State and County prevention guidance when attending games and practices. Picture day and our Hit-A-Thon Fundraiser will be rescheduled to a future date.
